We are delighted that you are about to begin the adventure of a new school with us at Croxley Danes.
Starting secondary school is a fantastic opportunity to experience a whole new range of possibilities. This includes making new friendship groups, the chance to study a wider range of subjects and the opportunity to take part in numerous extra-curricular opportunities, both here and abroad.
In previous correspondence, you will see that we are holding a transition day on Thursday 10th July for students, and a follow up parental event that evening.
The first few weeks of term will undoubtedly be a little daunting, but the Form Tutors and existing students are here to help guide you through the transition process. Always ask if there are aspects you are unsure of and let us know if there are things you need help with.
This website has been prepared to help provide you with some of the information you will need to ensure a smooth transition. Students themselves will be offered much more practical day-to-day guidance throughout the transition period, and once they have started in September. We encourage your child to arrive with a ‘can do’ attitude and to grasp the huge range of opportunities that we offer, both within and outside the classroom, so they can play a full and active role in this outstanding community.
We have high expectations of the students both academically and in terms of their behaviour. Of equal importance to us is that they are happy, healthy and enjoying school so that they have every chance to succeed.
We are looking forward to getting to know you all so much better throughout the transition process. With this in mind, please ask your child to complete this 'All About Me' questionnaire, prior to their start in September.
We can't wait to work in close partnership with you and your family over the coming years.
