Second-hand Uniform
The Croxley Danes Parent Teacher and Student Association organise our second hand uniform sales which take place each half term in the dining hall. The next sale is taking place on Saturday 11th July 2026, 9am - 11am.
You can also contact the PTSA via cds.preloveduniform@gmail.com to discuss your second hand uniform requirements and to arrange a private appointment.
We do not accept branded items, designer clothing or any variation in the school uniform.
Financial support is available for families in receipt of Pupil Premium funding and the PTSA organise regular second hand uniform sales.
All property brought into school must be clearly labelled. If a pupil loses anything, they should go to the Librarian in the LRC who manages lost property. If an item is named and handed in, the pupil will be contacted and instructed to collect the item from the Librarian. All unclaimed items will be disposed of at regular intervals, or donated to the PTSA second hand uniform sales.
It is important that all uniform and equipment is named. The CDS PTSA recommends Stikins Name Labels. You can order them here quoting our unique reference number 35954 and the CDS PTSA will receive 30% commission.
The general expectation is for pupils to take pride in their appearance. Shirts must be tucked in and ties done-up with top buttons fastened. In addition:
Hair:
Extremes of hairstyle are not permitted (the Headteacher is the final arbiter in the interpretation of ‘extreme’).
Hair should be tidy, should not be artificially coloured to an unnatural colour nor should it be dyed with extreme, contrasting colours.
No patterns, lines or shapes are permitted in any hair, including eyebrows.
Long hair may need to be tied back for some subjects.
Jewellery:
We encourage all pupils to wear a watch for punctuality, removed for PE.
Smart watches, fitness trackers or other wearable technology are not permitted.
No other visible jewellery is permitted.
Piercings:
Earrings: Maximum of two small studs only in either ear lobe.
Nose: Maximum of one small stud only.
Other piercings: For health and safety reasons, no other piercings are allowed.
Note: If pupils have additional piercings, these must be replaced with a clear plastic retainer. Decorative jewellery in these piercings will be required to be removed. All jewellery must be removed for PE lessons.
Other:
Coats are not worn in lessons. Blazers should be worn under coats.
Hoodies are not allowed to be worn under blazers.
Make-up must be unobtrusive. If not, pupils will be asked to remove it.
Painted, gel or acrylic nails are not permitted.
Visible tattoos are not permitted (it is illegal for an under 18 year old to be tattooed).
